I never thought I would...

The bathroom is a VERY public place at our house.

It just has to be. Privacy will happen when more people can wipe their own little bottoms.

The bathroom is a great place for conversation and talking about life.

Pretty much it is a happening place around here.

Tonight, brought it to a whole new level.

I am being honest about the chaos that is pretty much a constant around here.

Adie was busy on the toilet. If there is one thing I have learned, it is hard to hurry that girl along. It must be her idea that she is done.

Titus came in doing the potty dance. He pulled down his jammies and pulled off the cloth pull-up and waited with happy feet. Adie was NOT finished yet. I pleaded with her to hurry up because Titus needed to use the toilet. I looked over and he was starting to go. So with one quick motion I swooped him up and let him pee in the sink. Gross and disgusting, I know. But it was better than watching him pee all over. To make this story even better, I was holding a screaming Jack in my other arm while I was doing this.

If there were Mommy Olympics...this event would have won gold.

Flashback Friday

Remember when Adie didn't sleep through the night until she was about 15 months old.  I was so desperate for sleep that my mom bought Adie a new bed to help her sleep better.  She loved her bed and actually was better in the morning.  The little stinker still loved to be up every 1-2 hours...and boy could she cry!  She would lay in her bed and kick and kick and that would make her bed bounce, which she just loved!  

Isn't she so sweet?

Few pictures from today

Adie thinks that she is a "big girl" now and wants to walk everywhere.  Never mind that she fell five times trying to walk up the driveway.  She was so proud of herself when she finally made it to the top.

The cadillac of all strollers.  I love this thing!  It took me a while to save up for this bad boy but it was worth it!  We use it all the time to go on longer walks or just for containment in the mall.

I get so many strange looks.  I actually love watching people's reaction to this stroller.  (Valco Baby is the brand name just in case you were wondering.)

We made it to the park and I had some happy girls.

If I don't know where she is, chances are the bathroom.  It is the first place I look.  She has never actually gone potty in the potty chair, but someday she will surprise herself and do it.  Cousin Della likes the chair we pulled it out for her, but Adie seems to like it too!  Maybe I will have her trained before she turns two!

Our neighbors in Sioux Falls gave us this tent some time back.  It has been packed in a box for 6 months.  There were some happy girls this week.  They were even more happy that we had to move it inside the house becuase of a rainstorm that day.

Watching to see what she would do...

She is good ...she is quick...and she is in trouble.  Just before I caught her doing this, she had a wash cloth in the toilet.  I think she  was just having fun without momma watching.

Deja Vu

Here are two pictures taken 4 years apart with Papa.  One is Adie and one is Grace...I will let you guess who is who.

The girls and I are spending this week in MN to get our house ready to move into.  I have a the hallway and Carl's office left to paint one last coat and I will be finished painting.  Alleluia! 

We are also enjoying some time at Papa and Nana's farm.  Grace and Lydia get to help vaccinate the pigs tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have more pictures to post on that.

Weekend Adventures continued

On the way home from church this morning, we couldn't resist the field of "flowers."  So we stopped and picked as many as their hands could hold.  We had two very happy girls and 4 beautiful vases of flowers on my table.  I love dandilion bouquets!  More than that, I love to make memories with our children.  It is moments like these that I want to remember, not the times that I tell them to hurry so we can get somewhere 3 minutes faster.  I have to remind myself daily that picking flowers is way more important that having a clean house.  (even when it is on the market)

Lydia spent the next 20 minutes arranging her flowers into a vase.  I asked her if she wanted to be a florist and she promptly told me, "No, I  am going to be a pharmacist mama with three children, Lucy, Sara and Thomas.  No wait the Daddy's name is Thomas."  Well, we will see what time brings...I will have good laugh if she ever dates a Thomas.

Adie Lynn has been having fun saying only "Papa."  She knows how to say momma, dad, nana and a few other words, but when asked to perform for the camera she only will say, "Papa"...  which is very funny because she will shake her head, "no" when we ask her anything else.

Last night my little girls wanted suckers for dessert instead of strawberry pie.  I think they are a little crazy but then again they are 4, 3 and 1, so that means candy will always win.  Adie sounds like a monkey when she says, "ooo...oooo" for just about everything. (now if you are a mommy you will understand how much tonal goes into the ooo ooo)  Amazingly we always know what she wants and when she wants it...NOW.
