I just walked into their bedroom. Three children are supposed to be taking a rest but instead they climb up into Lydia's bed and took her valentine candy stash and ate everything. Well, almost everything. If they didn't like it, they just spit it out on the floor. Oh my - this did not go over well with this momma.
What to do with the triplets?
Carl just walked into their room and they were all out of bed again...ahhhh...they wear me out!
You see - they all don't need a nap every day but I need them to rest everyday so that I get a break.
I have to remind myself that someday they will be bigger and beg to take a nap. I planned some of my college semesters so that I could take a nap. I love to nap and feel so much better if I can close my eyes for even just 20 minutes each day. That doesn't happen much any more, but when I can get it, I take it.

i know all about naptime troubles. some days are much better than others. hang in there.
I hear you. My four go down every day (well Kai not so much, but in my mind they all do :)
You NEED that time.
What I did when had 1 that would not do "quiet time" so well. (I am determined and stubborn enough to make things work if I think it is for the best in the long run.) I sat in her doorway (crocheting or reading) and caught her in the act of getting off her bed (She did not have to sleep...only rest/look at books/play quietly) That way I didn't have any mess and she got the picture. I started with 1/2 hour and worked up to our normal 2 hour quiet time. Within 1 week I was back to enjoying my full 2 hours of quiet time. She was 3 when I did this...can you guess who :)
When my four were little I had to split them up at nap time. One in our room, one in their room, one in the living room, and one in the kitchen. Small house required creativity, but I always found that together, NO ONE rested.
Oh Angel, I remember how much I loved power naps in college! I often think my workday would be so much more productive if I could bring back the power nap. Every day I hit a wall around 3 p.m. I hope you have more success soon...you need a break!
