When we tell people that we are adopting two little boys and have three little girls already, then they look at me wide eyed and eyebrows raised and say, "Boy, you are going to be really busy!"
Now I would like to translate what they are thinking in that split nanosecond...
"Oh my goodness...she is crazy...she is never going to sleep....how in the world is she going to handle all that crying, fusing, fighting, food preparing, laundry, llama drama, shuttling, and shoe tying...oh I am so glad I am not doing that."
To which I reply, "I know that already, but God says I don't need to worry about tomorrow, I just need to enjoy all the hugs, kisses, snuggles, smiles and laughter of today."

Crazy...NO....Obedient...YES!! I admire your ability to allow God to take you far out of your comfort zone to use you for HIS glory...I have been asking Him where I need to 'let go and let God' more. When people think you're crazy...remember "if you love me you will OBEY"...you love Jesus!!!
GREAT response.
I get that all of the time too :)
I love that you are my friend in real life and not just on your blog!! God has given you a quick wit & an obedient heart!
and God is going to give you all you need to do what He wants for you! and a joy in doing it too!
Funny... I get the same response when people find out I have 6 kids. But, that hasn't changed from the days when I had 2 under 2. And, it's not as if 3 don't keep you busy!! LOL
I am so excited for you and all the great things God has in store for you and your family... even if you will be busy. :)
What a great response!
Amen!
Just found your blog and can tell that I am going to enjoy reading about your life.
We had our first 3 kids in 2.5 years ... everyone said we were crazy.
We had our first 5 kids in 4 years ... everyone knew we were insane.
We had our first 6 kids in 6 years ... even our closest friends told us to STOP.
We had our first 10 kids in 18 years ... people stopped commenting.
We stopped ... for 5 years.
Then, last year, the Lord gave us 3 more ... from Ghana.
Keep seeking the Lord for His plan for your family, and don't be bothered by the endless, negative comments that WILL come your way.
I'm always available to support and encourage all of you younger mamas who are stepping out in FAITH for the size of your family.
Many blessings,
Jesus' Loving, Homeschooling, Adopting Mama of 13
(and, my new title: Pastor's Wife)
